The flashiest AI announcements get the headlines, but it’s Teams’ quiet fixes to everyday annoyances that may finally change how people feel about using it day to day.

As exciting as the big announcements around agentic flows, governance, and deeper product integrations are, some of the smaller enhancements for Microsoft Teams are what will be immediately felt by users in their daily workflows:

  • Teams Mode to include Microsoft Copilot in the group chat
  • Multi-account improvements to view and reply across orgs without switching
  • Channel Agents connected to MCP servers for Asana, GitHub, and Atlassian
  • Message forwarding FINALLY includes a links to the original message!

These might look minor, but these micro-frictions add up fast. Coming from Slack to Teams, these differences really matter. Kudos to the Microsoft Teams group that is clearly listening to user feedback and iterating quickly.
